Eureka 402A Mini Light Upright Vacuum

2 amp. Bagless upright. 2 motor system. Motorized brush roll. On/off switch to go from carpet to bare floors. Telescopic handle. Lightweight. Easy to push. Yellow. Boxed. Made in Mexico by Electrolux Home Care Products. Sold as each.

Clean carpets, bare floors, and stairs in a snap with the Mini Light upright vacuum from Eureka. Weighing just 8 pounds, the machine is lightweight but not flimsy, has a 10-inch cleaning path, and includes a three-way power switch for greater cleaning range. Equipped with a dual-motor system, the Mini Light allows you to choose between safe bare-floor cleaning (no brush-roll action) or more aggressive carpet cleaning (with motor-driven brush roll). Eureka’s bagless design includes a transparent dust-collection cup, so you can see at a glance when it needs emptying. The system eliminates the hassle of bags, and, even better, helps maximize the efficiency of the machine with regular emptying. Popping the cup off to dump it out is simple—-it releases and reattaches better than many similar models—-and it includes a washable filter. The collapsible handle is especially useful on stairs and for storage. The machine’s cord retainer, dual power-cord hooks, and comfortable loop handle are helpful extras. Eureka’s Clean Air system protects the motor from damage. –Emily Bedard

Eureka 402A Mini Light Upright Vacuum Reviews

WORTHLESS!!
This vacuum is useless! Tiny filter clogs & vacuum looses suction quickly – plan on stopping 2-3 times per room to clean the filter. Plan on cutting the hair off the beater bar every other time you use it. Will not pick up animal hair without making MANY passes over the hair! I told my other half I was gonna break this thing just so we could get a “real” vacuum! But never got the chance; after 4 months the little tiny motor (that looks like it’s out of a toy remote control car) that runs the beater bar quit! Save your money – stay away from this “vac”!!

Great little vacuum!
This lightweight vacuum does a superb job of cleaning the area rug and hardwood floors in between regular heavy duty vacuuming. It’s inexpensive and very light, and you can turn the roller brush on and off. I have two dogs and two birds, and between them they can make a room filthy in one day. All I have to do is use this vacuum and the room is clean in a jiffy! As others have mentioned, it is a little loud, the cord should be longer, and the filter could be easier to clean, but all in all it is a good little vacuum. And, if you clean the dust cup and remove the hair from the roller brush when you are done, it should continue to work well for you.

An excellent lightweight vacuum
I didn’t expect this vacuum to be as economical as it turned out.

It’s lightweight and has a powerful motor. Picks up dog hair well and cleans carpets deeply. I have combination wood floors with area rugs and the floor or carpet settings are easy to switch back and forth. The cup holder for dirt and dust cleans without fuss and so does the filter. This nicely designed appliance makes vacuuming easy.

happy customer
I own a Hoover Savvy that is going into the shop for the third time in the eight months I have owned it. I bought this little Eureka to get me by while my Hoover is in the shop. What a great little vacuum! It is picking up all the dog hair the Hoover has left behind. If the Boss lite works this good I can only imagine what the full size will do!

crap
Be smarter than me and save your money! Description of this vacuum sounds so great I went against my better judgement “if it is too good to be true…” Motor is loud and exhaust spread dust away from vacuum. If you have pets, you see those hairs running for corners. And Hepa filter can be washed only up to 3 times. It is very hard to clean filter, and it is dirty job. Hepa replacement cost 10 dollars–am I nuts to keep feeding bad product? I got rid of it. Eureka is part of the problem of environmental polution by creating this kind of throw aways. From what I read only commercial Eurekas are any good.
