Eureka C2094G Heavy Duty Cloth Bag Upright Commercial Vacuum

Great for high-speed, large-area cleaning, this Eureka upright vacuum is simple, maneuverable, and strong. Though not appropriate for bare floors, the vacuum features six different carpet-nap settings, tuned with an easy-access dial that ranges from low pile to thick plush. The no-nonsense construction of the vacuum makes it easy to push and turn, while the wide bumper protects furniture and baseboards. The back-mounted cloth bag zips open completely for easy removal of the inner paper bag. The stout metal brush roll on this machine stands up to abuse and thoroughly sweeps and combs carpet for deeper cleaning. The handle–released with a foot pedal–can go flush with the floor for vacuuming under furniture. Though this model doesn’t come with hoses, attachments, or extra gadgets, it’s a reliable, powerful way to clean all kinds of carpet. At 20 pounds, it’s not exactly a lightweight, but the spare design lets you turn it on a dime. Eureka makes this upright with a bright headlight, two cord hooks, a foot-controlled power switch, and a 50-foot power cord. It also comes with a spare paper dust bag. –Emily Bedard

Eureka C2094G Heavy Duty Cloth Bag Upright Commercial Vacuum Reviews

A great vacuum!
My mom has a Sanitaire Vacuum which is virtually the same vacuum as this one only just different colors. She’s had it about 10 years now and it still works like new. I recently bought this vacuum for myself and it’s amazing how great it works. The metal brush bar and brushes dig deep into the carpet to give it a thorough cleaning. I also like the nice long cord. Since I’ve had this vacuum, I can just plug it into one outlet and do my whole house. I never have to keep plugging it in somewhere else. If you’re looking to buy a vacuum for home or for commercial use, I highly recommend this one! It’s maybe a bit heavier than the average vacuum, but really not that bad. I actually like the heaviness because it shows how tough it really is. It is a great vacuum and I know that I’ll get many years out of it.

Heavy, but a great vacuum
I would rate it five stars were it not heavy. I had another Eureka commercial before this one for 15-20 years and it still worked very well. The bag had worn out and the repair place put another bag on it that doesn’t take disposable bags (not what I wanted). I didn’t realize that and used it for several years with bags which always fell apart. When I found out why I asked what it would cost to put the kind that takes disposable bags on and it would have been $80. At that price I figured I’d get a new vacuum. The repair place said that the Eureka commercial vacuums are practically the only ones worth repairing.

I’ve seen more attractive vacuums
I used to work in vacuum repair and this vacuum is fantastic. It is tough and it should withstand a fair bit of abuse, and when it comes to cleaning carpet, it will do at least as good a job as many of the far more expensive vacuums. I wanted to get this vacuum for my wife a year ago, but she insisted on a B*ssel for $90, and she has regreted it. Now that I got her this one (I didn’t give her an option this time), she wishes she had listened to me last year. She loves it.

This vacuum holds much in common with the S*nitaire commercial vacuum series (i.e. 600 & 800 series). In fact, it uses many of the exact same parts as the S*nitaires. The part numbers are also the same. The majority of parts are interchangeable and very inexpensive. The single most expensive replacement part is the motor, and a careful shopper can find it online for around $60. The disturbulator (beater bar) bearings are easily replaceable (and inexpensive) should the need arise, and replacement wheels and switches are VERY cheap ($2.66 for a rear wheel, $4.44 for a front wheel, and about $6 for a switch). Cord retainers do break, and that may be the weakest part of the vacuum, but a replacement set is only $6.61.

The vacuum is simple to repair and maintain. The most complicated task is changing the fan should it ever break. This involves a Philips head and possibly a T15 torx (if I remember correctly). Two screws underneath hold the cover on, and then four screws (I think) hold the motor in place. Take the motor out, then remove the pulley (it screws off backwards, I believe), change the fan, and reverse the process. If the foam gasket on the bottom of the motor breaks or is useless, it is easily replaceable as well. If you don’t have a replacement gasket handy, then bead some silicon caulking around the base, then remount the motor, but you won’t be able to use the vacuum until the caulking cures, which should be left alone overnight.

No Frills – terrific vacuum
I have never owned a vac that worked as well as this one. I purchased a Eureka hand held vac to use for cleaning stairs and corners, but this vac does an amazing job at just cleaning carpet. I decided to get rid of my bagless vacuum because it was too dirty to clean, and the filters needed to be washed every time I vacuumed. I found this at Sams*Club for 140 delivered. It is well made and is definately a vacuum to last a couple of decades.

FINALLY! A Vacuum The Way They USED To Be Made…
OK, let me keep this short. In the past 11 years, I have gone through 5 vacuum cleaners. Most of these machines were flimsy, awkward, poorly designed, dirty, noisy, and just burnt out after awhile. I’ve been looking for a vacuum that will LAST me and one that actually CLEANS carpets the proper way. I don’t care about “bagless cyclonic action” or “horsepower” ratings(which don’t mean a thing anyway). Nor do I want a machine that looks like it came from outer space, that weighs about a ton, and features attachments that I’ll never even use… I mean I just want a machine that does what it’s name implies-VACUUMS. Well, I finally found it in the Eureka C209…

Just for the record, this is sold primarily as a commercial vacuum(for hotels, businesses, etc) so you’re not going to find this thing in the aisles at Wal*Mart or JC Penney. Being fed up with the mass-market cleaners, I went to a local independent vacuum store to purchase this. Yes, it is pricey, but you get what you pay for. This is *STRICTLY* a carpet machine. There are no hoses, attachments, or other gadgets included. The 50ft power cord is more than enough to reach into many areas of my home. There are six different positions to set the cleaner to the proper height, for vacuuming everything from old shag carpeting to low-pile berber. It is a little noisy, but that doesn’t concern me. There are no filters to clog, and no hoses with strange twists and turns that always seem to plug up… This is the type of machine your mother used to have–the way they USED to build them. The kind that lasts you 30 years, not the throw-away vacuums that flood the market today. Is it worth every penny? YOU BET. This should be the last machine I’ll ever need. Solid construction, metal body, and chrome parts ensure a long life. Try it and see for yourself. Even Consumer Reports said that most vacuums today are just cheap, throw-away toys. Go for this and you’ll never look back. Thanks Eureka! I’m finally happy, and what a difference it made in my carpets!
