While best known perhaps for televisions and cameras, Panasonic now brings its technological savvy to the world of household cleaning with this clever bagless upright vacuum. The lightweight 12-amp vacuum employs infrared sensors to detect filth. Upon processing the surface’s cleaning needs, the vacuum adjusts its power output with its Power on Demand system. Therefore, the vacuum conserves power by running on low or medium for slightly dirty hard floors and carpets, saving high power operation for serious soiling. The HEPA exhaust filter assists in cleansing the air of dust mites, ragweed, and most grass pollen for a breathable indoor environment.
A helpful headlight illuminates soiled patches for the 15-inch nozzle while the vacuum automatically alters its cleaning height for the surface in question, be it a shaggy rug or linoleum. The agitation from a dual brush system uproots dirt from the plushest carpet, but may be turned off to prevent scratching when using the vacuum on hard floors. The Power on Demand system can be turned off for manual use, should the user wish to run the vacuum on low for quieter cleaning. The vacuum addresses dusty baseboards with dual edge cleaning. Dirt bypasses the motor and fan, ensuring a longer motor life and preventing debris from blowing back into the room. Dirt collects in a two-piece dust cup that easily removes. Disappointing
51 weeks into the life of this vacuum I heard an alternating sucking and blowing sound and the machine lost power. It worked pretty well til then except that it falls down easily when using the tools. And the general feel of it is cheesy, waiting for something to break. Is it worth it to spend 3 times as much for a Sebo and a 5yr warranty? I am thinking it over as I wait for the repair shop to give me the price and tell me what is wrong.
Good vacuum, stupid assembly worker
I had the same problem with the pedal not releasing the vacuum so it can tilt back. Problem was the factory installed the part on the wrong side of the plastic catch (Made in Mexico)! Not too hard to fix, no need to send it back. A little elbow grease will pop it over to the right side. Outside of this, a GREAT vacuum for the money. Unbeatable value. A quality product performance-wise. Would highly recommend. Better than the Eureka, Hoover, Bissell and others that are $50-$75 more!
MC-V7710. Body release pedal does not work.
MC-V7710
Body release pedal does not work. Vacuum remains in a standing locked
position. I traded it for another one and still the same problem.
I send it to get fixed at an authorized Panasonic repair place. They could not fix it.
All else is great.
Panasonic MC-V7710 Bagless Vacuum
This vacuum cleans very well. I like the fact that it adjusts to the correct height for carpet cleaning. It is a little heavy. I have already broken a belt, user error, but it wasn’t too difficult to put on a new one. Do advise in getting some when you purchase. The filter is deep in the dirt chamber and gets dirty. It is easy to remove to clean, just wish the dirt chamber was a little larger. I like how the onboard cleaning wand works. It is easy to use. This is my first Panasonic vacuum. I think I am going to enjoy using it, that is if you enjoy using vacuums.
